Andrew Bernstein, DVM

Dr. Andrew Bernstein graduated from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. He has been at the Aurora Veterinary Hospital since 2003 and is the owner. When not working, he enjoys canoeing, stand up paddle boarding, and spending time with his wife, two daughters, and dog.

 

 

Lara Kreyenhagen, DVM

Dr. Lara Kreyenhagen graduated from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. After a year as an equine veterinarian she found her true calling as a small animal veterinarian. She joined Aurora Veterinary Hospital part time in 1998 and is now enjoying being a full time associate. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. She is active as a runner, cross fitter, and dressage rider. She also volunteers regularly at the Doney-Coe Pet Clinic for the homeless and low income.

 

 

Lisa Newton, DVM

Dr. Lisa Newton joined the Aurora Veterinary Hospital originally in 1986 as an assistant and again as a doctor after graduating from WSU Veterinary School in 1991. After raising two children, she is now transitioning into life as an empty nester, which includes advocating in DC and Olympia and raising money for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, cross-country skiing, boxing, and singing in a gospel choir. She is also on the board of the Pawsitive Alliance, which includes participating in the only low cost spay neuter clinics in Adams County WA.  She has three shelter adopted pets, two cats and one dog.

 

 

Casey Sowell, DVM

Dr. Casey Sowell graduated from Washington State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. Having worked for the Aurora Veterinary Hospital in 2003, his allegiance drew him back to rejoin the staff in early 2011. He enjoys traveling whenever the opportunity arises, though he is always content spending time exploring Seattle with his wife, two daughters, and dogs (Poppy & Oscar).

 

 

Ngoc Tran, DVM

Dr. Ngoc Tran graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. Upon graduation, she was eager to return home to Seattle. She has practiced in the Seattle area since and joined Aurora Veterinary Hospital in 2019. In her spare time, Dr. Tran enjoys spending time with her two rambunctious kitties, Monday and Bristol, and playing the risky game of rubbing cat bellies.

 

 

Kathryn Weinrauch, BVMS, MRCVS

Dr. Kathryn Weinrauch graduated from the University of Glasgow, School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. She worked in a thriving small animal practice in England for the next two years. In 2007, she moved from the UK to Washington where she has been practicing ever since. She enjoys photography, gardening, and spending time with her dogs, three energetic children and husband.
